Type of tickets
1. Single Journey Token
• For Adult which can be dispensed from Ticket Vending
Machine or be issued at Ticket Office
• For Child / Elder which can be issued at Ticket Office
* Being used for one journey and
has to be inserted to the slot on the top surface of the exit
fare gate, Single Journey Token has its value which depends
on the trip distance, consequently equals to the trip fare.
2. Stored Value Card

*Being used for multi journey,
Stored Value Card can be issued at the Ticket Office with
the minimum value of Baht 200 (including the deposit of Baht
50). Added value can be selected either one of Baht 100, 200,
300, 400 or 500 that the card’s value after being top
up can not be more than the designated maximum value of 1,000
Baht.
*The card’s value is deducted up
on the trip fare and is displayed its remaining value on the
top surface of the exit fare gate when the passenger exits.

On August 9, 1999, His Majesty the King graciously bestowed
the name “The M.R.T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon”
which means “Celebration of the Auspicious Kingship”
on the Metro Project, Hua Lamphong – Bang Sue Route,
that has 18 stations along the over 20 kilometers distance.
